Scooter Training

Year 1 had a fantastic time taking part in a scooter training session. As well as having fun, the training reinforced some really important road safety messages. Maths Fun

Year 1 have been having lots of fun in Maths, finding and making number bonds to 20. The children enjoyed spotting patterns and making connections with their existing knowledge. It’s great to see their confidence with number facts growing.

Line art

After exploring different types of lines in Year 1, we chose our favourite one and drew it on a square of paper using chalk. We then put them together to create a piece of class artwork, inspired by the artist Bridget Riley who used lines in her work.

Paper Sculpture

We have been learning how to roll paper to make a sculpture. Today we created this ‘Tree of Life’. We all made a piece of bark for the tree trunk or branches then added leaves and many creatures that might live in it. We had lots of fun!
