This week Year 4 have investigated the digestive process by experimenting with breaking down bread. Although this experiment was messy, the children learnt lots of key terminology.

Reception class have continued enjoying their Minibeasts topic. The children have made bug hotels, baked bug buns and planted bean plants.
Reception class have excitedly started their new topic of minibeasts by investigating all kinds of insects that live around school. Also our caterpillars have arrived, been given names and the children will be monitoring their life cycle stages.
The children enjoyed a visit from our favourite bunny today! She gave out some yummy treats to everyone.
Year 6 completed their Artists Study by creating a piece of art inspired by Frank Bowling, Paula Rego, David Hockney or Lubaina Himid. We were creating pieces that had a message or story behind them.
Despite being at Ufton Court, Year 4 have investigated sundials and particle size. They created paper sundials inside and used torches to understand how the shadows are created to tell the time. Adding to our courtyard garden, Eco-committee and Year 6 have started putting together a tyre garden on the field to enjoy in the summer term.
