The whole school has enjoyed a very fun World Book Day with lots of activities! We held a fantastic parade where everyone showed off their costumes to an audience of parents.
As part of our World Book Day activities all the children took in drama workshops run by West End in Schools. The children were asked to re-enact the story of Hansel and Gretel – can you tell what they’re portraying in the photos below? Some characters but also some objects!
Yesterday Year 3 had an excellent day today at Ufton Court, immersing themselves in life as Romans! Recently Reception Class celebrated reaching 100 days of school! Our superstars marked the occasion with a full day of fun, learning and creativity. The Year 4 children have enjoyed beginning their book sleeves. They have cut out all the pieces from their design and begun to sew. DT will continue into next week when they begin adding a fastening of their choice.
Our Reception class puppet, Buttons, has been sending postcards from all around the world. On Tuesday, he visited London, so we ‘travelled’ on a big red bus to discover some famous London sights. Year 2 went on a trip to Shah Jahan Mosque in Woking. It is the oldest mosque in the UK having been built in 1889. The children enjoyed learning about the Muslim faith and the mosque, providing great foundations for our learning about Islam next half term.
Year 6 spent a brilliant Tuesday afternoon at the theatre! Wellington College put on a fantastic production of Anastasia The Musical which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
