Year 6 journeyed into the past when we visited the Watercress Line and imagined what it would be like to be an evacuee during World War 2. The children had a fantastic time exploring the heritage station and examining historical artefacts. They wrote identity labels and postcards home whilst riding on a real steam train that puffed through the countryside.
The children enjoyed ending last week walking like Egyptians. They all embraced their history topic, asked fantastic questions and worked in teams to complete a variety of challenges.
