Yesterday Year 3 had an excellent day today at Ufton Court, immersing themselves in life as Romans!

They started the morning by learning military manoeuvres and practising their sword and shield skills. They learned Roman games and had the opportunity to play them. They enjoyed our lunch outside and ended the day in a Roman courtroom, hearing cases and deciding what punishments were needed. Some of Year 3 children were “sent to the Colosseum” to face the lions, criminals were placed into a sack with a snake and a cockerel and others were “sold into slavery”. There was so much to learn and the children were excellent representatives of Hatch Ride!
