Milestones Trip
Year 1 visited Milestones Museum to learn about toys and games in the past. The children had a wonderful day exploring the museum and got to play with many older toys.
Reception
Odds Farm Trip
We had a lovely sunny day exploring Odds Farm. Everyone enjoyed meeting the animals, going on a tractor ride and playing together.
Art
Paper Sculpture
We have been learning how to roll paper to make a sculpture. Today we created this ‘Tree of Life’. We all made a piece of bark for the tree trunk or branches then added leaves and many creatures that might live in it. We had lots of fun!
Science
Science Week
Year 1 carried out an experiment to see if jelly sets slower or faster when it has fruit with it. We had 2 pots of jelly, one with fruit and one plain. We looked at our jelly pots each hour and after 4 hours it had eventually set. We concluded Read more…

Tree adoption
As part of our climate and environment education, Year 1 have adopted an evergreen tree. We have named it ‘Mrs Green’.
