Year 5 had a fun day at the Newbury & District Agricultural Society Harvest Celebration at Wellington College. The class learnt about different vegetables, listened to the story of Johnny Appleseed, and some of the children even had a go at apple bobbing! They explored beautiful autumnal colour palettes and enjoyed tasting some delicious apple crumble and beetroot brownie.
We also have some exciting news to share — we won the prize for the biggest pumpkin! A huge thank you to our Year 6 pupils, who started growing the pumpkins last year. What a fantastic achievement, and a lovely example of how hard work can pay off over time!
