Caterpillars have arrived in Reception! Each child chose their own caterpillar and gave it a name. Over the coming weeks, we will watch as our caterpillars grow, change and eventually form chrysalises – before emerging as beautiful butterflies. Following their curiosity, we headed outdoors for a mini beast hunt. The children carefully explored their surroundings and discovered all sorts of amazing creatures, including centipedes, millipedes and lots of tiny insects hiding under logs and in the grass and soil. The highlight was an unexpected visitor… a toad! 🐸
