Making the most of the sunny week, we have undertaken one of our ’21 Things before we leave Hatch Ride’; making natural mandalas!
We have leapt into our science topic of Electricity, making circuits and testing changes to circuits by increasing/decreasing the number of components. We have also explored making our own switches from paper/card, paper fasteners and paperclips.
Well done to all our Year 6 leavers in the performance of ‘Goodbye My Friend’
At the start of the week, Year 6 dug up and cooked the potatoes from the courtyard garden. We had several harvesters and some chefs who peeled and cut the potatoes ready for boiling. Many of us enjoyed eating the potatoes we had been growing since March.
On Wednesday this week, Year 6 had a session with the Metropolitan Police Dog Handlers. The officers shared with us the jobs that the police dogs undertake for the police force and how they are trained. One of the visiting police dogs then tracked down a burglar for us and Read more…
