Year 6 getting outside to identify plant and tree species in our woodland, ready to create a classification key.
Year 6 have been looking at Relationships this term and building a web showing how we are all linked together.
Year 6 completed their Artists Study by creating a piece of art inspired by Frank Bowling, Paula Rego, David Hockney or Lubaina Himid. We were creating pieces that had a message or story behind them.
Adding to our courtyard garden, Eco-committee and Year 6 have started putting together a tyre garden on the field to enjoy in the summer term.
Year 6 explored making a ten second timer as part of science week. Could we create a water timer or marble run that timed ten seconds? Some of us were more accurate with others; the nearest timer was 10.21 seconds!
Year 6 have been enjoying Bikeability this week with Avanti staff. Now it is the turn of the second half of the class to hone their skills on the playground before heading out onto the road.
Last week, Year 6 took their learning into the outdoor classroom to explore knots and knot tying. Some with more success than others! 🙂
